SCP: Continued Procedures Expansion update part 3 (Edited)

Published on 2026-04-08 by Yni

Note, that SCP: Secret Laboratory belong to Northwood Studios, and I used ideas, not the code. blah, blah...

I've made a tribute to SCP:SL in SCP: Continued Procedures

Since 2020, I've played SCP:SL, and I really miss old versions, where SCPs were stronger, grass was greener ...

The last thing, that sent old Secret Lab to the past, was lighting update in SL Refracted Reality update.

Recently released Taj Mod partly restores that old atmosphere, but... I also wanted that atmosphere in my game.

Edit: (btw Taj Mod is awesome, I wrongly underestimated it)

SCP: Continued Procedures new zone

The first step for re-creating atmosphere was adding old Maintenance Zone in 2.0.0, but it was replaced in 6.0.0 due to likeliness of Secret Lab's assets (and worse quality).

The second step was adding Surface Zone from open-sourced Taj Mod assets in Expansion update part 2 (5.0.0).

The third step was adding tonemap settings, which can replicate Parabellum and partly Mimicry tonemap (see in Settings tab) and adding one of screens for SCP-1223 in 6.1.0

And the fourth step was adding Personnel Zone from open-sourced Taj mod assets and a new SCP-018 (I will talk about this later) in this update (7.0.0).

See it in trailer

SCP-018

I didn't wanted new SCPs from Secret Lab Refracted Reality onwards, so I was choosing between SCP-244 and SCP-018.

As of SCP-244, it was my favourite choice, but... because of the fog, it could not be in Web version becuase of lags.

So there is SCP-018. (actually, it causes gameover in normal and hard difficulties, you can experiment with it in safe mode, but it still behaves strangely and can fly out of map)

Conclusion

It was a not so big update, because... nvm, I told that in February and March news...

I hope you like it, since Secret Lab is somewhat semi-popular in SCP community.
